Just saw that UOP is in the market for an assistant swimming coach.  Anyone know the details?

@tigercasey...I have no connections to the swim team, but I would presume a swim suit, and willingness to travel would be essential, but cap and flippers would be optional!   Image

It was the 'devil in me" ... been a very frustrating year for Pacific BB....both men and women's teams.   I figured @tigercasey could handle it, as "we make up  a small band of aging qb's" ......  I think the follwing is what you were looking for:

I meant, do you know WHY we're looking for a new assistant? And do you know who's applied?

Don't know.  No inside connections, maybe Macho can ask at tonight's game.  I do know Pacific is also looking for an assistant Soccer Coach.

I can give you a little heads up, although not totally in the loop on it. Swim program is usually looking for an assistant almost every year. These are either low paying or volunteer positions so the coaches tend to move on quickly either to other business opportunities or a step up the coaching ladder. Last year's assistant was Simon Burnett and he left to pursue other opportunities outside of collegiate coaching.
The swim program is quite large and they really need 2 assistants and a volunteer or grad asst to have a complete staff.

Another possible reason for new assistants is that the school has added a diving program for this year
