Willard an All-BW 1st teamer?

I don't know that Sam Willard (son of Steve) is necessarily a 1st teamer this year ... unless of course he goes 20-and-10 (Hell, 17-and-8 is probably good enough), but I think he's definitely a 2nd teamer, and I think by his senior year he's a 1st teamer. But if he indeed will be this year's leading scorer, it's tough to imagine him not at least being considered for the first team.

Coley's First Two Games

Dodge City Community College has two games under its belt, both against poor opposition. Chuck Coley scored 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and three blocks in Dodge City's 80-66 win over the Colorado Christian JV, then 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 104-61 win over the York College jayvees. His team will get a real test Tuesday night when it hosts Lamar CC (Colorado), which finished fifth in the nation last year in the NJCAA Division I playoffs in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Recruit on Campus

Men's team has a good size recruit on campus today. I'd place him in the 6 8 220 ish category. And although he looks a little like Jordan Railey (from photos, but who knows it's always hard to tell from those photos) there is no way this kid was 6 10. He was here with his entire family (5-6 people) and meeting with all the coaches (so it's an official visit) in the University Center over Breakfast. He looked to be enjoying himself, which is unusual...normally recruits...

TV Coverage

Has any one noticed (maybe I just looked over it) how many "TV Coverage" icons (suggesting there will be coverage) there are on this year's Men's schedule. Considering how critical many of us have been about exposure, marketing etc...it's just interesting. Does anyone know what type/ quality of coverage we are looking at? I am assuming SJTV or is it Big West TV...

According to Mel Grussing from http://avc-basketball-fan.com/ has heard Cody will start for the Mats. It makes sense because he looks to be the only legit two guard on the team, Maybe he was a better fit there. I read this on Mel's Twitter page.

Antoine Lundy a 6'8" PF from Neosho County JC KS, by way of Saginaw MI has reportedly been offered a scholarship according to the Rivals network. I had heard a rumor of a kid from Michigan at a midwest JC was visiting the campus recently, it turns out Antoine was the one.

Big-Time Scrimmages Have Replaced Exhibitions

While the Tigers tangle with CSU Monterey Bay and CSU East Bay in exhibitions, more and more mid-majors and majors are opting for closed-door, no scoreboard scrimmages against quality opponents. San Jose State plays Sac State and USD plays Long Beach on Friday. Saturday's lineup includes games like SMC at Nevada, UCI at Stanford, Fullerton at Pepperdine, UCD at USF. San Jose suppposedly plays Cal on Sunday, although I thought you could have only one scrimmage in lieu of two exhibitions....
